This private reference is not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve official booking records. Contact the public office that holds the record or manages the person’s custody.

Official Lancaster Contacts

Use the office that matches the record. The Adult Detention Facility handles current county detention, while the Sheriff’s Records Office is the practical starting point for LSO records and request routing.

Lancaster County Adult Detention Facility

3801 West O Street
Lincoln, Nebraska 68528
Phone: 402-441-1900

Use the official current-inmate roster for current custody. The roster is not a historical release archive.

Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office Records

575 South 10th Street
Lincoln, Nebraska 68508
Main: 402-441-6500
Non-emergency / routing: 402-441-6000
Public counter: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

For a defined adult LSO criminal-history request, the county form lists a $10 fee whether or not a record is found. A booking-photo request should instead identify the record, agency, person, and date as precisely as possible.

Lincoln Police Records Unit

575 South 10th Street
Lincoln, Nebraska
Records: 402-441-7210
Counter: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

LPD records differ from Sheriff and ADF records. The city lists online arrest-photo viewing and other report services through its own records page.

Choose the Right Record Path

Several official systems answer different questions, and a missing name in one system does not settle the others.

  • For a recent Lancaster County custody question, begin with the county records hub and the live ADF roster.
  • For a combined LPD or LSO warrant question, use Sheriff's Most Wanted, then confirm with the court or warrant desk.
  • For an arrest report or booking record, direct a precise request to LPD, LSO, Corrections, or the named custodian.
  • For a court case or disposition, use Nebraska’s JUSTICE case search; Lancaster County Court can be reached at 402-441-7291.
  • For a sentenced state-prisoner custody question, use the NDCS search, not the county roster.
  • For federal or immigration detention, use the official BOP locator or ICE locator.
